A New Science is Born: Tom Somodi’s NYC Book Release
November 6, 2013
New York – October 25, 2013 – Change: a concept experienced by all, yet understood by few. The notion of ‘change’ can be outlined scientifically, and used as a template to effectively predict future successes and failures. Tom Somodi is bringing his distinctive expertise on change to New York City as he celebrates the release of his book, “The Science of Change: Basics Behind Why Change Succeeds and Fails.”
Tom spent a significant amount of time in New York through his business endeavors, which include taking a company public during the tough financial markets of 2011, and found it an ideal place to examine and research the subject of change.
“From early on in my career I have witnessed organizations and individuals struggle with obtaining successful change, even change initiatives utilizing proven methodologies,” says Somodi. “I came to realize that change was not just something an organization or individual has to do, but follows a set of dynamics that can be summarized by definitions, principles, and concepts. The key is that change is not an art but is really a science, the science of change.”
The book release event will be taking place Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Penthouse Solarium & Rooftop on 2 Gold Street. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and Tom is available for interviews before and after.
Along with his unique perspective and expertise on the science behind change, Tom Somodi is available to offer insight on the following topics:
- How to successfully obtain a desired change
- Why proven change methodologies fail
- How to lower anxiety associated with change
- How to understand why a particular change took place
